Oldham Play Action Group

Oldham Play Action Group is a registered charity and has been running since 1977 founded by volunteers and established 1981.
OPAG services and activities have benefited in excess of 2,400 children during the last 12 months, offering junior youth clubs, play sessions, National Playdays, events.
They also have a resource store comprising of bulk purchased arts materials, hire equipment and scrap store with safe waste materials from local companies, recycled for children’s play, play training, consultation, community celebrations, visual minuting and play streets.
All these activities help to build up community identity and community spirit across the generations. They work to bring groups together from different geographical and cultural communities to increase community cohesion and promote understanding of diversity.
